How outreach works
Every list runs the same underlying sequence. Here’s exactly what happens for each lead once you press Run Outreach — the same explainer you’ll find behind the “How outreach works” button in the app.
Campaign rules
A few rules apply to every campaign, to keep your account safe and your outreach human:
The sequence
Here’s how a single lead moves through a campaign, start to finish.
Day 1
Day 3
If they accept
They become a connection. If you’ve kept profile visits or post likes on, those continue for 8 days, which increases the likelihood that they’ll respond.
Connection request accepted
They immediately move to Connections, then any touchpoints you’ve turned on continue.
2 days after acceptance
4 days after acceptance
6 days after acceptance
8 days after acceptance · Final cycle
If they do not accept
After 14 days without acceptance, we withdraw the pending request.
No acceptance after 14 days
If the request is still pending, we stop waiting and withdraw it.
What happens next
Once someone accepts, they’re a connection you own. The lead shows up in Connections and any reply lands in your Shared inbox, where you (or your AI assistant) take the conversation from there.
