MCP

Flow speaks MCP (Model Context Protocol), the open standard that lets AI assistants use tools. Connect once and your assistant can drive Flow directly — this is the technical reference.

What MCP is

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets an AI assistant use outside tools. Flow runs an MCP server, so any MCP-capable assistant — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or your own — can drive Flow just by being asked. You connect it once; after that the assistant can search, build lists and message on your behalf.

This page is the technical reference. For click-by-click setup, see Connect AI assistant.

The endpoint

There’s a single endpoint. Your API key goes in the token query parameter:

https://api.chooseflow.ai/mcp?token=flow_live_YOUR_API_KEY

Point any MCP client at that URL (as a custom/remote connector) and it can talk to Flow. Most assistants just ask for the URL — paste it in and you’re connected.

Authentication

Create an API key in Settings → Connect AI Assistant and drop it into the URL above. Keys start with a flow_live_ prefix and the full key is shown only once, so copy it when you create it. A key acts as you, so keep it secret — don’t commit it to a repo or share it. Create a separate key per assistant, and revoke any key at any time from the same screen.

Create your key in Settings → Connect AI Assistant, then paste it into the token parameter.

What your assistant can do

Through MCP, an assistant can use the same things you can in the app:

  • Search for leads and filter them, then save them to a list.
  • Create and manage lists, and run outreach on a list.
  • Read and update connections — status, owner, and details.
  • Read a conversation and draft, send or schedule a message.
  • Pull dashboard metrics like acceptance and reply rates.

An assistant can only do what your account can do, and every outbound action runs through your connected LinkedIn account at the same human pace and daily limits as the app — see How outreach works.

Works with any MCP client

The endpoint and key are the same whichever client you use. Pick your assistant’s tab in Settings → Connect AI Assistant for the exact steps — Connect AI assistant walks through Claude in full.

Prefer REST?

If you want to call Flow from your own code without an assistant in the loop, use the API instead. MCP is for AI assistants; the REST API is for your own integrations.
